Gerry (or “GerBear”), who first picked up a guitar at the tender age of 10, delivers a sound that is silky smooth and undeniably his own, with a clarity and intensity that leaves any musical fan wanting more. Gerry has a strong passion for the blues mixed with flavours of contemporary soul, and his quiet yet solid leadership on stage is an asset to anyone who’s lucky enough to play with him.

Some of Gerry’s influences include Rory Gallagher, Carlos Santana, Pat Travers, Gary Rossington, Ed King, Jeff Beck, Larry Carlton, and Robben Ford. Gerry has been a fixture in Edmonton’s music community for over thirty years. He’s dabbled in almost every imaginable genre, from Hard Rock to Country, and currently he’s thrilled to be immersing himself in R&B. Gerry has played with and opened for some great musicians over the years, including Jeff Healy, Dr. Hook, The Headpins, and April Wine, but the highlight of his career was playing with the legendary Bo Diddly, which he describes as “an absolute privilege”.
