“Big Daddy” (as he is affectionately known) has been a professional bassist for over 40 years. From a musical family (he is the son of esteemed musician Neale Forsberg), Randy found his love of the bass while spending many hours as a child in the kitchen learning all kinds of progressions and theory from his parents. He performed live for the first time at age 9 and has never looked back.
Randy is a deliciously funky and perfectly groovy bass player who can play anything, which makes him one of Edmonton’s busiest and most requested bassists. Randy has performed with the legendary Bo Diddley, Bruce Conte of Tower of Power, Canadian Blues legend Morgan Davis, country star Mo Brandy, rock/blues mainstay Jeff Healy, The Headpins, Nick Gilder with Sweeny Todd, and hall of famer Wilf Carter.
Randy is proud to be sharing rhythm duties alongside his son Cody, a talented drummer in his own right. Together they provide the rock solid, driving edge that every band needs. Looks like Big Daddy is following tradition and keeping music in the family!
